About Ultrafiltration
Ultrafiltration (UF) is a membrane-based water purification technology that uses a semi-permeable membrane to remove contaminants from water. The process works by applying pressure to force water through the membrane while retaining suspended particles and microorganisms.
The UF membrane is the core component of the filtration system, consisting of a porous material that acts as a barrier. It allows water molecules to pass through while blocking larger particles and contaminants.
10KD UF Membrane is used to remove colloidal silica after the DM plant. The 10KD UF Membrane is generally used Post DM application. That is why sometimes it is called Post DM UF membrane.
Typically, UF membranes have pore sizes ranging from 0.001 to 0.1 mm, which makes them highly effective for removing fine impurities while maintaining a stable flow rate.

Because of this capability, UF systems are widely used as post-treatment for STP and ETP tertiary treated water, before reuse or discharge, and as pre-treatment for RO or other advanced purification systems.

Our UF systems are engineered considering practical Indian operating conditions, ensuring reliability, safety, and ease of operation.
The systems are designed to be simple to operate and maintain, even by operators with limited technical expertise. Bluemaarlin also integrates automation and remote monitoring features for better plant supervision and efficient service support.
